In my heart, there is a boiling rage,
for the prisoner of l'il birds, those are trapped in the cage,
Why-o-why, expose the innocence,
to the brutal world, as such a tender age?
The days of play, the days of game,
are exploited under, pleasure's name!
Why-o-why, expose the innocence
to the adult's world's, unbearable flame?
At the time when a kid should learn to write,
and study to make his future bright,
he is working hard under the scorching Sun,
to earn a penny for life's run!
Why-o-why, expose the innocence,
to the cruel world, which has a place for a child, none?
He has no place to live and no shelter to hide,
he eats other's leftover, and sleeps by the road side!
Isn't that brutal, or is that kind?
to exploit his ignorance, for no reason to find?
Why-o-why, expose the innocence
to the emotionless world, just to grind?
Let's raise our voices, let’s make them aware,
the world is ruthless, better beware!
It's not a child's play, to be a child,
the world will destroy you, don't be so mild!
Why-o-why, expose the innocence
let's pledge to protect it, from the world so wild!
Child abuse is a topic, very close to my heart. Generally, only child sexual abuse is taken as child abuse, but apart from child sexual abuse, child labour, making them beg etc, is also considered as child abuse. I've spent sleep less night, after reading many articles, stories and other stuff related to child abuse. Every time I thought what could be done, in order to save the divine innocence, from the selfish world? When ever I came across any stuff related to child abuse, I felt like punishing the criminal (I need an even stronger and harsher word for such a cruel animal, pardon me, I can't call such people as human!) because no medicine in this world could heal up the wounds made on that poor child's soul!
But then I thought, it would be far more better to make people, specially children aware of the bitter truth of the world! And what better medium can any one find, as it is rightly said "a pen is mightier than a sword"! I hope my small piece of work would be at least a small help to the millions of people and NGOs around the globe, working for child abuse. Please make the children aware about the reality of the world and protect them from losing their innocence!
